2021: For five years in a row, a Macdonough student has been recognized at the state-level in an InvestWrite essay contest, and this year a Macdonough fourth grader placed ninth in the nation! 2020: Fifth grader recognized as a state finalist in the Letters About Literature competition. Three Macdonough students win first place in CT for The Stock Market Game. Macdonough student wins first place in CT in the InvestWrite competition.
2019: Mac students come in first place in The Stock Market Game and the InvestWrite Competition and three are finalists at CT’s Invention Convention. Macdonough’s Rubiks Cube team, “Macdonough Cubed,” wins first in Connecticut for division 1 (kindergarten through grade five) teams, by solving 25 3×3 Rubik’s Cubes in 4 minutes, 43 seconds. Macdonough fifth grader who places first in the individual competition is featured on the local news.
