Macdonough STEM Academy prides itself on fostering logical thinkers and students who are emotionally intelligent. To do this we focus on the positive. The adults at school recognize students who display Self-Responsibility, Understanding, Respect, Friendship, and Safety (SURFS).
Every day, students are recognized for these efforts and once a month the school holds an assembly where the entire Macdonough STEM Academy community is invited. There are students, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, siblings, friends, staff, and other community guests who attend. At the assembly students are recognized for their effort, achievement, and talents.
